Collin Crowder

Bio
Collin has a lifelong passion for creating art, including drawing, painting, and origami. Art serves as a rewarding outlet for him to express and process emotions visually.
As a teenager, he won awards in juried competitions, including three consecutive years at the Wiregrass Museum of Art’s Youth Art Month. Recently, he received the Davis-Frey Annual Endowed Award in the Auburn University Student Juried Art Show and was showcased in a solo exhibition at Auburn University’s Vault Gallery in 2023, garnering two published articles about his work. In 2024, one of his paintings was accepted into the Wiregrass Biennial Art Exhibition.
Originally from Dothan, AL, Collin primarily paints in oils, using vibrant colors and textures that combine realism with abstract expressionism. Set to graduate in May, 2025, from Auburn University, he will have earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in painting, aiming to create emotionally complex environments through distortions and mark-making inspired by post-impressionism.
